Asakusa Rokku

After the Meiji Restoration, among Asakusa divided from the 1st district to the 6th district (Rokku), Asakusa 6th district(Rokku) prospered as the center of entertainment in Tokyo. The first theater in Tokiwaza, which started in 1887, caused a huge boom at that time such as an Opera and in 1890, Japan's first facility with an elevator was built.
These facilities and buildings are not currently available, but it is crowded with tourists visiting Hanayashiki, Asakusa Performing Hall, and the Marugoto Nippon.
