Kaminarimon Gate

Kaminarimon is officially called "Furaizinmon Gate".The God with blue skin is the God of wind, and the God with red skin is the God of Thunder.The large lantern weighing 700 kg is lifted and folded during the time of the three shrine festival which is held in May every year and also when typhoons or strong winds strike.Also, the large lantern is repapered once every ten years but the sculpture of the dragon at the bottom is repeatedly used.
