Sensoji Temple

Sensoji is Tokyo's oldest temple with nearly a 1400-year history.The main hall has suffered from fire many times in its long history and has been rebuilt.The current main hall was rebuilt in 1958 after it was destroyed by the Tokyo air raid in 1945.It is said that the 4.5m wide sandals soldered at Hozomon are protecting this temple.In addition, there are some rare statues such as a character from the Japanese comic "Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro" and Ultraman on the precincts.
